A Baltimore, Maryland based coal industry customer came to Clark Machine for the fabrication of a large chute assembly for transporting coal from railcars to ships. Clark Machine’s variety in services as well as the crucial ability to work on physically large parts proved to be assets in this project.
After receiving customer specifications including 2D CAD drawings, Clark Machine set to work on fabrication through a series of fabrication processes. Lathe and mill metalworking, CNC plasma cutting, drilling, grinding, and MIG/FCAW/SMAW welding were the primary construction procedures for this Hardox® wear plating assembly. Customer directed inspection as well as Clark’s own certified weld inspectors were employed throughout fabrication. A dedicated project manager was used to track all production and inspection timelines.
Although only one customer experience, Clark has rendered numerous others like it, and remains capable of following through with a stellar level of fabrication competency. Contact Clark Machine directly today to learn more.
